Induction on the buffet

Yes, sounds a little strange. How can having induction on the buffet be green? Well, induction technology uses less energy and it only engages when a vessel comes into contact with the magnetic field being generated. And because the vessel does the heating and the surface stays cool there is no wasted heat radiating out (less hard work for your air conditioning).
If you use buffet induction with glass lidded chafers this means customers and staff are not constantly opening lids to look at the contents so more heat stays put.
Here's the really exciting innovation though, we've developed a heat channeling system that can take previously wasted buffet heat from the induction units, and use it to heat your plates. We have designed Integrated Heated Plate Shelves that can use this system, as they are located immediately beneath the induction units. An article from our February 2009 eZine on buffets includes some information and pictures (and see the photo to the right with a Heated Plate Shelf), or give us a call and have a chat on 1300 779 725.
